Light section 3D sensors measure height profiles along a projected laser line. Objects with high resolution can be detected quickly and reliably in 3D. Depending on the model, the function range extends from presence monitoring to edge measurement to 3D measurement.
Laser scanners detect and measure their environment using a rotating laser beam. Objects can be detected over large distances. Large viewing angles enable contours to be measured.
